I suppressed my CID and gave the number a call just for a lark. They have the recorded voice menu system for the credit provider that they are faking, they even make you wait a bit with on-hold music before they answer, so there's a bit of sophistication with this scam. It was apparent that I got the guy out of bed :-)
I pretended to be in a bit of a panic about the security issue and the guy (who spoke in a very British sounding accent) couldn't start pumping me for personal information fast enough, but he suddenly got really cagey when he realised my call had come from an anonymous number and became quite rude and demanding when he told me to call back from a number that he could see but I insisted that he sort my issue out on this call
